7th grade Science
- Adairsville High School
- Kennesaw State University- Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education
I began teaching in August of 2017 after completing my degree at Kennesaw State University. My first year I was a 4th grade Science & Social Studies teacher at Anna K. Davie Elementary School in Rome, GA. As much as I loved teaching 4th grade, I was ready to return to middle school. I graduated from a Adairsville High School and I'm glad to be back home in Bartow County. I'm excited to be at Woodland Middle School and become a Wildcat!
I've wanted to be a teacher on and off as a child but I always knew that I wanted to work with children. When I was younger, I would play school with my grandfather who would let me quiz him all the time. I wanted to be a teacher to make a difference in students lives and build that relationship with them. You always remeber those teachers that have had an impact in your life and someday I hope to be that for a student.
During my spare time, I enjoy kayaking, playing with my dogs, spending time with family, and travel. My family has a house in the mountain so we try to visit from time to time or on breaks. I have two dogs, Patches and Ziva. I do not have any children but I have two nieces and two nephews that I enjoy spoiling and spending time with when they are in town. I love to travel and see new places especially if it involves going to the beach.
