I began working at Woodland Middle School as a Special Education Paraprofessional in November of 2000. While working full-time, I began my secondary education at Georgia Highlands in 2001. I then transferred to Brenau University in 2004. I began student teaching at Euharlee Elementary in August of 2006 and earned a Bachelor of Special Education degree in December. I was immediately hired on as a support teacher for math and reading. The following school year of 2007-2008, I returned to Woodland Middle School as a Special Education teacher. That same year, I began attending Berry College, earning a Master of Education degree in 2011.
I became a Special Education teacher because I believe that I can make a difference!
I moved to Georgia from Ohio in 1997. I love it here in Georgia! I am 31 years happily married to Rob Taylor. We have two children. Ashley who is 30 and Breonna who is 26. Ashley is a kindergarten teacher here in Bartow County. She is married and expecting her first child (my first grandchild) in September. Breonna works at a private school in Atlanta. She hopes to become a pre-k teacher within the next year. I do not have any pets, but I do have two Grand-puppies named Ruger and Ellie. In my spare time, I love to go to the beach, kayak, and spend time with my family.
