About Me:

I began a career in education as a special education paraprofessional, at Model Middle School, in 2004. In 2010, I realized my dream of becoming certified and became a teacher at MMS where I was blessed to teach 7th grade math, as well as, coach the football and competition cheerleading squads. In 2014 I became a WMS Wildcat. Life at Woodland is good. I have enjoyed the opportunity to work with students and staff in all three grade levels while here. GO WILDCATS!

When my youngest child started pre-school, I was able to take time to listen to 1st graders read. It was thrilling to experience the growth in their reading skills throughout the year as well as witness the enthusiasm and pride they exuded. I get the same enjoyment watching students at WMS succeed and grow throughout the year.

My favorite way to spend free time is enjoying it with my husband, Gary, our children, grandchildren and Molly- our dog. We also boat, ride our Harley, run around in our Jeep and enjoy watching wildlife. I have 4 children -ages 32, 30, 27, and 25- whom have created the lives they dreamed of; 2 hilarious "cute as can be" grandsons - ages 4 and 2; and a brand new beautiful granddaughter. Life is good!
