About Me:
I began my teaching career as an ESOL and Read 180 teacher for grades 6-8. After three years, I moved into a 7th grade ELA classroom. I stayed here for five years and then took the position as Instructional Lead Teacher for ELA and Social Studies. Now, I'm moving back to the 7th grade ELA classroom!  In addition to teaching, I am a 7th grade team the leader, Gifted coordinator, Spelling Bee coordinator, and a leader for Woodland Houses.

As a kid, I always thought I would be a teacher. I played school all the time! However, when I left high school, I decided to pursue journalism. After one short semester, I knew that teaching was best for me and continued down that path.

During my spare time, I love to run, read, travel with my husband, and spend time with my family (18 nieces and nephews...wow!). I also own a wedding planning business which keeps me quite busy!  My husband John and I were married in 2016. We love to travel and spend time with friends and family. John works in government affairs and real estate, and he will soon be a lawyer as well.
